Mr. Mark interviews Chaplin Connie Graves of Children’s Hospital for insight about making visits and dealing with traumatic news.
Connie is a long time children’s minister and now serves as Chaplin. She is understands great loss of a child and what being abandoned feels like. Her testimony of God’s faithfulness is a beautiful offering. Anyone that meets Connie immediately senses her love and care and total acceptance.
Here are some questions we have all considered if not experienced:
• What are some practical steps for making visits in the hospital?
• How do I deal with traumatic diagnoses of a child or family member of a child?
• What do I say when visiting a parent or child that has experienced sudden death in their family?
What would you add to this list of questions? What resources have you found helpful in your ministry?
