Make sock puppets to collect offering for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Children will need one “tube” sock, markers, yarn, craft glue, googly eyes, and old costume jewelry. After each child has decorated their “sock puppet,” ask them to take the puppets home and utilize it to collect their offering for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Designate a specific Sunday to bring the “Sock puppets” back to church with their offering and “Sock It to Lottie!” She was a prankster as a child and would have loved this idea! Be sure to let the kids know that 100% of this offering is used to tell people in other countries about Jesus.
